Fried Lobsters

Our first trip to the beach this year turned into surprisingly the most peaceful and enjoyable day until  the horrible sun burners later. We live about 45 mins from the famous Cocoa beach. I personally can't remember ever going to the beach on the east coast since I have lived on the west coast of Florida most of my life.
First we had no idea where we were going we just decided to drive to the water and see what we found. On a Saturday that is always fun becasue the traffic can be quite horrific and it was. But amazingly we were directed to this public beach by a friendly local.
The scenery was gorgeous tree covered walkway leading to sandy beach with crashing waves. The biggest difference between the east and west coast of FL are the waves. They are so much bigger on the east coast.  We spent most of our time laying out and soaking in the rays. Kevin always gets a little antsy when he doesn't have something to do so within about an hour he wanted to walk around. I agreed and we headed down the beach. We got really lucky to have great weather because inland they were getting pounded with rain.
About two hours after being there Kevin was ready to go, but I begged to stay out just a little while longer. Oops! That was not a good idea for him as that extra time turned into a nasty sunburn. Later in the week that sunburn started to itch him so bad he was going crazy and driving me crazy. Thankfully he never blistered  and all is now good, but lesson learned and we are more careful now.
