Ghost Towns

When it comes to things to do here in Montana I don't think that it is possible to run out of ideas. Todays trip was  to three towns west of Bozeman (Virginia City, Nevada City, and Bannack). All three cities are in some form of old mining ghost towns. Virginia City is a live working town with all of the old building and shops. Nevada City is actually old building from all over brought to one place to represent old mining history, and what is really cool about it is that they have many old artifacts and things from the late 1800's. The last town is called Bannack and this one happens to be my favorite ghotst town. Bannack was the first territorial capital of Montana and got its beginning during the original gold rush. Today it is a State Park and the town is pretty much exactly the way poeple left more than 70 years ago.

Ok, so that wa
s a brief history of the towns now about our trip. On our way out there Kevin had a little accident with the rental car and he was sight seeing got a little distracted and knocked the right side mirror off the car. It scared me so bad that I screamed and then reality set in on how much  this was going to cost us. Thank God for the damage insurance!

We pressed on with broken mirror and all and stopped at Dillion and Enis town awesome old western towns along the way. Dillion's biggest draw is the Patagonia Outel Store were you get really awesome moutain wear and a great price. And what girl doesn't like shopping at a bargan.

We finally made it the Bannack only to attched the the killer misquitos and flies that were there. I spent some of my time there sitting in the car. You should see how bad my legs got bit up. Now I have to live with the itching for the next week.
