Last night we received word that a family friend and mentor was in a serious motorcycle accident. Fred Stubbs is a retired Air Force Col, who has spent much of his time touching the lives of everyone he meets. He and his wife were apart of starting the church my parents attend Baylife more than ten years ago. They mentored Kevin and I during our engagement and provided wise counsel for us.
Apparently he was riding his motorcycle when he lost control and wrecked on his bike. He was airlifted to the Tampa General Hospital were he was rush to surgery to try and fix his broken pelvis and locate the source of the internal bleeding. Late into the night they did not think that they were going to find the source of the bleed and informed Eilene that he was not going to make it. God intervened and they removed his spleen which was the source of the bleeding. He is now listed in stable but critical condition.
Please keep your thoughts and prayer with his family as they go though this ordeal.
